Real Madrid: Yan Diomandé Ballon d’Or win could earn RB Leipzig a hefty bonus

According to Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sport Germany, RB Leipzig could receive around €2.5 million if Yan Diomandé wins the Ballon d’Or while playing for Real Madrid. The clause was reportedly negotiated by Leipzig executive Marcel Schäfer during transfer talks, though neither club has confirmed it. Diomandé, 19, moved to Real in August 2026 for €125 million plus €15 million in bonuses and is contracted through June 30, 2033. Named Bundesliga’s best young player for 2025-26 after scoring 12 goals and providing eight assists, he has recorded four goals and four assists in 14 appearances for Madrid this season.
