Don’t just focus on profits, Tinubu tells banks

President Bola Tinubu urged Nigerian banks to rethink their risk approach and play an active role in economic growth. At the 19th Annual Banking and Finance Conference in Abuja, he emphasized that banks should finance productive sectors rather than just focusing on profits. Tinubu also stated that economic stability alone does not guarantee prosperity and called for a conversion of stability into investments and jobs.
