Immobilization of Airbus A330 Néo: A Look into the Litigation Affecting Air Senegal

Air Senegal claims ownership of two Airbus A330 Néo purchased in 2017, despite terminating the lease agreements with Casamance Owner. In February 2025, the London High Court ordered the immobilization of the aircraft for restitution, but the underlying financing contract, which guarantees the repayment of a 70% loan, remains active. The airline has repaid more than half of these loans, keeping its financial and legal obligations related to the aircraft in place.
