Keylor remains in prison as MP Tahirou Sarr is summoned to trial
Content creator Papa Saliou Ciss, known as Keylor, appeared before Dakar’s flagrante delicto court on October 28 and remains in custody; his trial was postponed until November 2. He faces alleged offenses involving the collection and distribution of personal data, privacy violations, and racial or xenophobic content. Civil-party lawyer Me Aboubacry Barro asked the court to summon MP Tahirou Sarr, whom he identifies as being behind the case. The proceedings follow a complaint by the National Federation of Shopkeepers, which says Keylor’s videos accused retailers of not stocking certain locally made brands and filmed them without consent.
