Uganda is financing the construction of a new Ebola Treatment Center (CTE) in Butembo, North Kivu province, after declaring the end of Ebola on its territory. This center, which will have 60 beds, will be managed by Ugandan and Congolese specialists and will feature a modern laboratory for diagnosing the disease. Currently, the 17th Ebola epidemic, caused by the Bundibugyo strain, has recorded 823 confirmed cases and 574 deaths in the region.
