Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja announced that the city has been selected to participate in the 2026–2027 Youth Climate Action Fund, allowing youth aged 15 to 24 to apply for grants of up to Ksh647,250 for climate projects. Applications will open on September 4, 2026, and close on October 16, 2026. Eligible projects should focus on areas such as waste reduction, tree planting, and flood resilience.
