Tinubu orders probe into death of detained miners in Niger

President Bola Tinubu has ordered a full and transparent investigation into the death of suspected illegal miners detained by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Minna, Niger. He expressed concern over the incident, stating that every Nigerian's life matters and no one should die in government custody due to negligence or abuse. Tinubu also warned that any negligence by law enforcement agencies would not be tolerated, and those responsible would face prosecution if wrongdoing is found.
