Niger: France expels two intelligence agents, one suspected of monitoring opponents – La Nouvelle Tribune

French authorities expelled two Nigerien intelligence service agents working at the Niger embassy in Paris due to suspicions of monitoring Nigerien opponents in France. This expulsion occurs amid escalating tensions, following Niger's termination of military cooperation agreements and the expulsion of the French ambassador in August 2023. The agents were declared persona non grata on September 16 and left France three days later.
