Ndande-Kébémer: Death toll in truck-minibus crash rises to nine

A new death was recorded Saturday at Louga’s Amadou Sakhir Mbaye Regional Hospital, bringing the toll from a collision between a truck and a minibus on the Ndande-Kébémer road to nine. The crash occurred at around 11 p.m. Friday. The truck, carrying sand from Dakar to Saint-Louis, reportedly attempted an unsafe overtaking maneuver before hitting the minibus travelling in the opposite direction. Transport Minister Abdoulahat Ndiaye visited injured survivors and met with victims’ families.
