Yaoundé: Students erupt in anger at Nsam Technical High School after fatal accident

Tensions and vandalism broke out at Nsam Bilingual Technical High School after a motorcycle crash involving three students on their way to school. The driver died at the scene, one passenger was left in a coma, and the third was not believed to be in immediate danger. Anger was reportedly fueled by the mistaken belief that a student expelled for violating the school’s haircut rules was among the victims; the ministry said he was not involved in the crash. The sub-prefect of Yaoundé III, law enforcement forces and ministry officials intervened, and calm was restored.
