Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) explained that the quintuplets, born at 25 weeks of pregnancy, were transferred from Thika Hospital for specialized care. They weighed between 630 and 800 grams, significantly below normal weights, complicating their condition. Despite the care provided by a neonatal team, all five newborns eventually passed away. MPs Alice Ng’ang’a and George Koimburi criticized the Kiambu County Government for lacking advanced neonatal facilities.
