Doctor Khumalo takes on his biggest challenge yet in football

Doctor Khumalo has been appointed vice-chairperson of SAFA’s technical committee, a major new chapter after his playing career. The committee, chaired by Jack Maluleke, oversees national team coach appointments, training methods and performance reviews, including for Bafana Bafana and Banyana Banyana. Khumalo holds coaching qualifications and previously served briefly as technical director at Baroka FC. His experience as a player could help SAFA better support footballers and increase former players’ influence within its structures.
