Melbourne man linked to flydubai attack suspect rejects ‘false accusations’ | Aviation News | Al Jazeera

A Melbourne man, whose Islamic community center has been linked by UAE prosecutors to the co-pilot accused of attacking a FlyDubai captain, has denied ‘false accusations’. The Omani co-pilot, now in custody in the UAE, was reportedly inspired by Al-Qaeda’s September 11 attacks and aimed to cause maximum loss of life. A social media video shows Abu Hamza, also known as Samir Mohtadi, dismissing these allegations without directly addressing the prosecutor’s claims.
