How Tanzanian village girl became international model

Flaviana Matata, a Tanzanian model and Miss Tanzania 2007, began her modeling career by chance after being encouraged to enter the Miss Universe pageant. She finished sixth in the global competition, becoming the first Tanzanian to represent her country.
