HELB Announces Disbursements for 3 Batches, Directs Students on Next Steps

Kenya’s Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) announced that funds for batches 007125, 007126 and 007197 have been processed and disbursed. Students in those batches should check with their university or college finance office because the payments go directly to institutions. The announcement comes amid reports of delays as HELB continues processing outstanding applications; the Treasury allocated Ksh58 billion to student loans for the 2026/2027 financial year. Students can check their loan status by dialing *642# or visiting HELB’s official website.
