Djugu: the displaced persons' site in Rhôe attacked by CODECO militias

UROPC/CODECO fighters attacked the internally displaced persons' site in Rhôe and surrounding areas in Djugu, Ituri, on Monday morning. The attack began around 6 a.m. in Rhôe and also targeted the villages of Asu and Ndongbe. UNMONUSCO troops are attempting to repel the attackers, and residents are seeking refuge with the UN mission. Images purportedly showing children killed during the violence have circulated online, but no official confirmation has been provided.
