Police Discover Over 30 Decomposed Bodies of Suspected Bandits in Zamfara

The Zamfara State Police Command said more than 30 decomposed bodies, believed to be those of neutralised bandits, were found in farmlands around Bukkuyum. Police said the attackers were repelled and prevented from entering the town, but the actual casualty count remains subject to verification. A preliminary assessment suggests sustained operational pressure has prompted some remaining bandits to leave the state.

He said the ECiDé rejects armed struggle but warned that repression is closing off peaceful avenues of expression.
