The Nairobi High Court has dismissed a lawyer's petition to halt the EACC investigation into a Ksh 10 million bribe attempt. Raphael Tuju filed a complaint in March alleging that a lawyer, a businessman, and a deceased former High Court judge solicited the money to influence a judge in a commercial dispute involving his Dari Business Park. The EACC arrested the lawyer at a wellness center in Karen, Nairobi, recovering Ksh 1 million in cash, and investigations are ongoing, with no formal charges filed yet. The court found the investigation lawful and refused to intervene.
