Justice: Lat Diop Authorized to Remove His Electronic Bracelet

Lat Diop, former director general of the Senegalese National Lottery, has been authorized by the judiciary to remove his electronic bracelet, according to his lawyer. Although he was granted provisional release, he remains under investigation for alleged extortion, embezzlement of public funds, and money laundering. Lat Diop was placed in custody on September 26, 2023.
