Kebbi Govt backs new Army formations, seeks public support against banditry

The Kebbi State Government has welcomed the Nigerian Army’s establishment and operationalisation of new military formations, including the 28 Armoured Brigade in Birnin Kebbi, the 281 Tank Battalion in Yauri, and the 381 Artillery Regiment in Kaoje. The Commissioner for Information and Culture, Yakubu Ahmed BK, stated that this increased military presence would help security forces respond more effectively to banditry, kidnapping, and other criminal activities. He also urged residents to support security agencies by providing credible information about bandits' activities, locations, and movements to strengthen intelligence gathering and improve security in the state.
