‘We are all internally displaced’ — Obi decries poor conditions at Sokoto IDP camp

Peter Obi, Nigeria's Democratic Congress presidential candidate, criticized the government over the poor conditions of over 1,000 internally displaced persons at Ramin Kura IDP Camp in Sokoto. Visiting the camp on September 29, he described the makeshift shelters, overcrowded rooms, and lack of basic facilities such as toilets, healthcare, and schools. He urged the government to improve conditions, address security issues, and focus on development priorities including insecurity, out-of-school children, poverty, youth unemployment, and drug problems.
