High Court Freezes Multimillion-Shilling Properties and Vehicles Linked to Six Kenyans

Kenya’s High Court Anti-Corruption and Economic Crimes Division has ordered assets suspected of being proceeds of crime frozen in three separate cases brought by the Assets Recovery Agency. The assets include three parcels of land in Nyeri County, seven vehicles, a Scania truck, a trailer and a shipping container. Justice Benjamin Musyoki ordered income from three properties preserved, while Justice Rose Ougo authorised the agency to seize and manage assets linked to a freight business. Issued between October 2 and 16 and published in three Gazette notices on October 23, the orders bar owners from disposing of the assets and require some documents and vehicles to be surrendered.
