In Crete, the military exercise 'Medusa' brings together several Mediterranean countries

On the coast of Crete, Greek and Egyptian forces conducted the military exercise 'Medusa', which took place from September 10 to 18, 2026. The maneuver included simulated drone attacks and special forces interventions, with participation from France, Italy, and Cyprus. Lieutenant Colonel Maria Kioliou emphasized that this exercise has become one of the main joint military events in the region, incorporating lessons from recent conflicts.
