Four pilots died on Friday afternoon when two Philippine Air Force SF-260 aircraft collided during a training exercise. Both planes crashed within the grounds of Fernando Air Base, south of Manila, and no other casualties were reported, air force spokesman Colonel Alvin Capinguian said. An investigation is under way, and the air force has temporarily grounded its SF-260 fleet as a precaution. In May, two military pilots died in another SF-260 crash during a training mission in Benguet province.
