Parliament dissolution: “The time has come,” President Bassirou Diomaye Faye urged to act

Industry and Trade Minister Serigne Guèye Diop named December 2, 2026, as a possible date for dissolving the National Assembly and urged members of his KIIRAAY party to prepare for upcoming elections. In Pikine, he also called for the party to strengthen its local presence across neighborhoods and the city’s 12 municipalities.
