Wedding funded by a Putin associate: troubled, Trump makes a promise

Donald Trump Jr. will reimburse the costs of his wedding, funded by Russian oligarch Umar Kremlev, as announced by his father, Donald Trump, on September 18. An investigation by ProPublica revealed that Kremlev, close to Vladimir Putin, covered part of the festivities held in the Bahamas. In response to political pressure, Trump promised that his son would repay the amounts incurred by Kremlev, who has documented ties to the Russian government.
