Casualties rise as conflict escalates in Yemen

As of October 30, Yemen’s Health Emergency Operation Centre had recorded 9,730 casualties, including 7,959 injured people and 1,771 deaths—an increase of 658 in five days. Lahj accounted for 309 casualties, while Marib reported the most deaths, with 36 among 172 casualties. Displacement has surpassed 300,000 people, while health and aid services remain insufficient, particularly in the west. WHO has received just US$3.7 million of the US$31 million required for its 90-day response plan.
