Nigeria: Ben Dancer aims for the world record of the longest dance marathon

Benjamin Daniel, known as Ben Dancer, completed a seven-day attempt in Lagos to set the longest individual dance marathon, dancing for 168 hours from September 22 to 29. His goal was to surpass the previous record of 127 hours set in 2023 by Indian teenager Srushti Sudhir Jagtap. The official validation by Guinness World Records is still pending, but Dancer's main aim was to raise awareness about traditional African dance. Supporters gathered at Freedom Park in Lagos to cheer him on and film the event, with young Nigerians dancing alongside him.
