The Economic and Social Recovery Plan (PRES), launched by Ousmane Sonko, generated 140.7 billion CFA francs in the first half of 2026, achieving only 63.6% of the target of 221.1 billion CFA francs. The main difficulties stem from the taxation of gambling, which shows a shortfall of 61.5 billion CFA francs, as well as issues in mineral exports and telecommunications.
