DP World launches a new China–Africa shipping link

DP World plans to launch China Africa Link in late November 2026, a weekly shipping service connecting China with markets in East and Southern Africa. Its port rotation will serve Shanghai, Ningbo and Nansha, then Port Klang in Malaysia, Dar es Salaam in Tanzania, Maputo in Mozambique and Singapore before returning to Shanghai. The service will carry goods including machinery, electronics and automotive components to Africa, alongside African agricultural products and minerals. It complements DP World’s investments in the region, including a US$165 million expansion at Maputo’s container terminal and a commitment of more than US$500 million to modernize the Port of Dar es Salaam.
