A Death at Antietam

Among the over 3,600 men killed at the Battle of Antietam in September 1862 was Henry Keeler, a corporal in the 14th Connecticut Infantry. His brother, S.P. Keeler, wrote a letter describing his search for Henry's grave on the battlefield, where he eventually found it under an apple tree. S.P. expressed his sorrow over the loss of his brother while highlighting his Christian faith and peaceful spirit at the time of his death.
