A fire destroys about twenty hectares of vegetation on the Nyabibwe hill in Kalehe

A fire has destroyed about twenty hectares of vegetation on the Nyabibwe hill in the Kalehe territory since August 31. Environmental actors attribute the fire to poor management of bush fires by local farmers. The destruction of vegetation raises concerns about erosion and landslide risks for populations living at the foot of the mountain.
