A new regional order for the Strait of Hormuz

The war initiated by the United States and Israel against Iran has disrupted the geopolitical status quo in the region. The littoral states of Hormuz have a unique opportunity to propose a locally managed security architecture, thereby providing a political off-ramp for U.S. President Donald Trump. Without this initiative, prolonged conflict could lead to a new regional order unilaterally imposed by Tehran.
