A Second Chance for André Onana? Jean Ediegnie Writes to Samuel Eto'o

Jean Ediegnie III, a special adviser to Samuel Eto'o, has asked the FECAFOOT president to give André Onana a second chance after the goalkeeper was left out of the Indomitable Lions squad in 2025. He recalls that Eto'o was suspended in 2011 following a players’ strike but returned to the national team in 2012 despite tensions with the federation. Ediegnie points to Onana’s recent form at Trabzonspor, including a clean sheet in a 2-0 win over Beşiktaş, as a reason to consider his return.
