A shortage of drinking water raises fears of waterborne diseases in Kalehe

A shortage of drinking water is affecting several localities in the Kalehe territory, including Kamirogosa avenues and the village of Mukwidja, according to Benjamin Mungazi, president of the local New Civil Society. Over 14,000 residents are affected, and civil society is calling for intervention from authorities to build new fountains and rehabilitate existing infrastructure. The risk of waterborne diseases is increasing due to the lack of functional water points.
