A suspected monkey meat poisoning kills four in Walikale

Four people died in Walikale, North Kivu, after consuming monkey meat in Munsanga, within the Pinga health zone. The victims showed symptoms after sharing the meat on Saturday and died less than twenty-four hours later. Health authorities dispatched a team to analyze samples and investigate the circumstances of the capture, preservation, and consumption of the meat.
