A tahr too far: Dog rescued after chase leaves it stranded on Table Mountain

A dog chasing a tahr, a mountain goat, became stranded on a narrow ledge about 80 metres below the Pipe Track on Table Mountain. Its owner, who was out running with the dog on Thursday evening, decided the slope was too dangerous to descend further and called for help. Wilderness Search and Rescue lowered a rescuer to the dog, secured it in a rope bag and hauled it back up to the trail.
