“A Test of Strength with the Police”: The Downfall of Ndioum Sakho, the Terror of VDN 3

W. Sakho, known as Ndioum Sakho, 32, is accused of carrying out attacks with alleged accomplices around VDN 3 and the beaches of Malibu and Gadaye, targeting motorists with breakdowns, motorcyclists, athletes and walkers. The Wakhinane-Nimzatt Research Brigade arrested him after around 15 complaints were filed. He had previously been detained in April 2024 and sentenced in May to two years in prison, but was reportedly released before serving his full term and allegedly resumed his activities. Accusations also spread on social media, including a European national’s public claim that Sakho assaulted him.
