‘A very sad day’: Arteta despairs as Arsenal are stunned by Fleetwood

Arsenal were knocked out of the League Cup by fourth-tier Fleetwood after a 1-1 draw and a 5-3 defeat on penalties. Aaron Loupalo-Bi gave Fleetwood the lead before Viktor Gyökeres equalised; Jay Lynch saved Bruno Guimarães’s penalty, and Conor Haughey scored the decisive spot-kick.
