In the Democratic Republic of the Congo, 86% of people who came into contact with an Ebola patient were followed up as of September 4, but four provinces remain below the 85% threshold. Ituri, the epicenter of the outbreak, has the highest follow-up rate at 89.8%. In contrast, North Kivu, Tshopo, Haut-Uele, and Bas-Uele have respective rates of 83.3%, 73.9%, 72.1%, and 69.7%. Results also fluctuate daily, with significant variations in provincial performance.
