“An Extremely Brilliant Man”: Nourane Fotsing Praises Cabral Libii Despite Their Split and Criticism

A month after leaving the PCRN on September 26, Nourane Fotsing described Cabral Libii as an “extremely brilliant” and ambitious man with a strong vision for young people. On Obama Time, however, she said she had faced personal attacks and tribal remarks since her 2020 election and criticized the party leadership for failing to support her. She also accused Libii of reproaching her for visiting Chantal Biya without prior authorization and rejected the claim that the PCRN had made her a deputy, saying she funded her political work and built her success on the ground. Now active in the Social Pact for Governance, Fotsing says she can recognize her former leader’s qualities while criticizing the party’s practices.
