DRC: Léonard She Okitundu considers Kabila's media appearance 'a non-event'

Léonard She Okitundu, a former close associate of Joseph Kabila, dismissed Kabila's recent media appearance as 'a non-event' during the launch of the Article 52 Dynamic initiative, which advocates for sanctions against M23 rebels and Rwanda. He urged Congolese to defend the country's sovereignty under President Félix Tshisekedi, whom he sees as the guarantor of the nation. She Okitundu also praised Tshisekedi's diplomacy, including his efforts to diminish Paul Kagame's influence internationally, and stated that predicting the end of the ongoing conflict is unrealistic.
