Abbas dissolves all Reps ad hoc committees with immediate effect

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, has ordered the immediate dissolution of all ad hoc committees, ending their activities effective August 28, 2026. This decision was announced by the Clerk of the House, Sidi Ibrahim, who stated that the committees had exceeded the deadline to submit their reports. Only two committees had requested an extension, which has since expired, leaving no basis for their continued operation.
