Abdeslam Ouaddou explains decision to bench Oswin Appollis in MTN8 final defeat

Orlando Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou explained his decision to bench Oswin Appollis at the start of the MTN8 final against Mamelodi Sundowns, which Pirates lost 2-0. Appollis, a midfielder and Bafana Bafana international, was brought on at halftime to replace the injured Kamogelo Sebelebele but struggled to influence the game as Sundowns controlled the midfield after introducing Thabo Cele. Sundowns scored first through Teboho Mokoena and secured the victory with a penalty from Iqraam Rayners.
