Abia Govt demands action from security agencies, monarchs over vandalization of electricity installations

The Abia State Government has expressed concern over the rising vandalism of public property, especially electricity installations, which is increasing financial burdens. The Commissioner for Information, Okey Kanu, urged security agencies, town union presidents, and traditional rulers to take proactive measures to end the vandalism. The government is working to restore power supply despite ongoing sabotage of completed projects. Additionally, the government extended condolences to communities affected by flooding, which caused loss of life and property, citing climate change and human factors as causes.
