Abia govt, monarch express concern as NDLEA rehabilitation centre overflows with inmates in Aba

The Abia State Government has expressed concern over the rising number of drug addicts at the NDLEA rehabilitation centre in Aba, which currently hosts about five hundred individuals, far exceeding its capacity of forty. Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Nwadinma Ananaba, urged youths to shun drug use and engage in skills acquisition programs. Local leaders also reported an increase in drug-related crimes in the community, including cases of human trafficking.
