The Ivorian Senate held a solemn tribute to Maïmouna Bamba, wife of Dosso, in Abidjan on October 16, 2026. Appointed senator in 2019 and reappointed in 2023, she served on the Committee on Social and Cultural Affairs and was the first president of Côte d'Ivoire's caucus of women senators.
