Abiodun Says Ogun Is Ready for State Police as Cash Transfers Begin in Sagamu

Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun said his administration was ready to establish a state police force to strengthen security amid expanding industrial and commercial activity. He said the Amotekun and So-Safe Corps together had about 6,000 personnel. At a public meeting in Sagamu on the 2027 budget, he also announced the immediate launch of cash transfers to vulnerable households, with identified beneficiaries in Sagamu due to receive payment alerts as the programme began. The initiative will later expand across Remoland and the rest of the state.
