Abomey-Calavi City Hall: Karl Gnanwo takes the helm of SYNATRAC after Fulgence Aguiar’s departure

Karl Gnanwo was elected secretary general of the National Union of Local Authorities (SYNATRAC) at its ordinary congress on October 17, 2026, at Abomey-Calavi City Hall. He succeeds Fulgence Aguiar, who is retiring after 30 years of service and was honored by congress participants. The new 15-member bureau includes Florelle Kpossou as deputy secretary general, Bruno Sovi as administrative secretary, and Martin Delouh as treasurer general. Gnanwo says he intends to protect workers’ gains and improve their conditions.
