Absence of Rain in Kinshasa: 'If there is a delay in rain, it is due to seasonal anomaly' (Mettelsat)

While Kinshasa experiences high temperatures and drought conditions, rainfall is delayed. Mettelsat states that the rainy season, which officially began on September 20 with a seven-day variation, is affected by seasonal anomalies and reduced atmospheric humidity. Temperatures are normal around 30-31°C, but the necessary meteorological parameters for rain are not yet met. Mettelsat forecasts normal rainfall for Kinshasa and Kongo-Central, while heavy rains are expected in the northern and eastern parts of the DRC, increasing flood risks in those areas.
